Apple Walnut Crumble

November 17, 2017 by Linda Watson Leave a Comment

Apple Crumble recipe ingredients: Granny Smith apples, walnuts, white whole wheat flour, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg

Apple Crumble is a more relaxed yet still comforting version of apple pie. It’s an updated version of Dutch Apple Cake, now with more apples plus healthy walnuts, half the fat and flour, and less than half the sugar. Instead of wasting time peeling apples, just slice them thinly and cut the slices into bite-sized pieces. The baked peels add texture and nutrition.
