I’ve just invited my doctors and dietitian to the Plant-Based Prevention of Disease Conference (#PPOD2019).I’m posting the letters I used so you can invite your doctors and other medical experts too. Feel free to copy or modify my letters as you see fit. I customized them for each person’s interest. You could do that too by looking at the conference agenda. The best registration discount runs through January 10th. It’s only $375 for physicians and $299 for other health-care professionals, such as nurses and registered dietitians.
The conference is also open to the general public and students at even better prices ($263 and $195 through January 10). If you live within a reasonable driving or train-traveling distance, I hope to see you and your medical team there!
Even if this isn’t the right conference for you, please consider letting your doctors know about other events that show how plant-based eating can improve our health and their results.
Example Invitation to P-POD for a Physician
Dear Dr. X, the national Plant-Based Prevention of Disease Conference will be held in Raleigh at the McKimmon Center from May 18 to 20, 2019. I hope you will consider attending. Registration is open, with “extreme early bird pricing” through January 10th. I’ve been to three of these conferences. They are splendidly informative, professional conferences eligible for up to AMA PRA Category 1 Credits or 17 CME credits recognized by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Other sorts of CE credit are also available.
Talks include:
- “Culinary Disease: The EATiology of Cardiovascular Mortality” by Dr. Kim A. Williams (Past President, American College of Cardiology)
- “Can What You Eat Influence Your Risk and Prognosis of Cancer? ” by Dr. Lawrence H. Kushi
- “Mood, Food, and Risks Reviewed: Lifestyle Links to Cancer, PMS, Diabetes, Depression and Dysfunctional Uterine Bleeding,” by Dr. Linda Carney
- “Plant-based Nutrition for Healthcare Professionals: Implementing Diet as a Primary Modality in the Prevention and Treatment of Chronic Disease ” by Julieanna Hever, MS RDN
The food shows how tasty healthy can be. You can’t beat the location or the cost (just $375 for physicians through January 10th and only $418 through May 18). Please consider attending and sharing this information with your colleagues. Learn more at preventionofdisease.org/
