Cook for Good has a new membership system to make it easy for members to see premium content, including recipes and blog posts. Learn how to get a free membership or become a supporting member (yaay! thanks!) on the Join page.
User Name and Password
- If you already had a WordPress account on CookforGood.com, you should still have your same username and password.
- If I set up an account for you, your user name is your email address. Your email address is not public unless you use it as your display name for comments, which I don’t recommend.
- You can always get a new password by clicking on the Login/out menu item at the top right and then choosing the Forgot Password link.
Welcome Page and Your Profile
Once you log in, you will see the Welcome page. There, you can see how to customize your profile and password and look at your bookmarks. You can get back to this page at any time from the link at the bottom of every page.
Log in to Make Comments
As before, you log in to make comments on the recipes and posts. You choose the name to display with your comments then. Your email address is not public unless you use it as your commenting name … probably not a good idea.
I moderate the first comment from any ID to keep us from being flooded with spam. (You won’t believe how much spam tries to get through!) After that, your comments will be published immediately.
Can’t Seem to Log In? Don’t have Access?
If you log in but the site says you don’t have access, please try refreshing the page in your browser. If that doesn’t work, please contact me with a description of what’s going on. The more detailed, the better!
How to Use Bookmarks
I hope this new feature will help you build your own book of favorites on Cook for Good. Members can now bookmark recipes and other pages for easy reference. Just log in and look for the bookmark icon on the right near the page heading. If you click it, the icon will change to one that says favorite and added. If you are not logged in, all the bookmark icons will have a red X. To delete a bookmark, click the box to the right of the bookmark in your bookmark list and then click the “remove” button.
