You may have noticed that last week’s recipe for Apple Pie listed 6 servings for a whole pie. Even my Taster says it should be 8 servings!!! My thrifty, healthy self knows it should be 12 servings.
I’ve been eating more than I should since June 2016, the day of the California primary. My concerns about the state of the world have gone straight to my waist, at the rate of about a half-pound a month. As one of my dear friends told me last week, a pattern like that just doesn’t stop. I could gain 27 pounds by January 2021. And I’m not alone. Even Barbra Streisand is worried about going from the Trump 10 to the Trump 30.
I want to lose 10 pounds and get back in shape
Here’s how I looked and felt in March 2016: pretty frellin’ good!
I want to run with the pack again! Yes, I want to lose 10 pounds and get in shape. Then I’ll be more able to knock on doors, march, and make a difference in other ways. (I canvassed in an apartment complex yesterday, extra 10 pounds and all. StairMaster democracy!)
Do you want to get in shape too?
Do you want to start cutting that pie into 12 pieces? Or maybe we should just eat plain apples in their natural, delicious state for awhile? Take walk instead of scrolling through Facebook? I’d love to hear your thoughts on this and your own needs or desires. Please share in the comments below or send me an email.
